"This scholarship represents more than just financial assistance — it is our chapter’s heartfelt investment in the future of young Black excellence in Hudson County,” said Nokeima Jones, President of the Rho Kappa Omega Chapter. “We believe in the power of education to transform lives, and it is our joy and duty to support students as they take bold steps toward college and their dreams.”

After several years of dormancy, the Rho Kappa Omega Chapter has worked diligently and intentionally to relaunch its scholarship program — a cornerstone of its service mission. Recognizing the ongoing need for educational support within the Hudson County community, chapter members collaborated tirelessly to reimagine and strengthen the program for today's students. From updating application processes to expanding outreach, this revival reflects the chapter’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment.

“Bringing this scholarship back has been a labor of love,” said Marquita Smith, Scholarship Committee Chairman. “We wanted to ensure that deserving students in our community have real opportunities to access higher education — and that they know we see them, we believe in them, and we are rooting for their success.”

With this program, the Rho Kappa Omega Chapter continues its legacy of nurturing the next generation of scholars, leaders, and changemakers.
